Morning Prayer: Father, I come before you now to ask you for forgiveness, for the sins that I have committed, both against you and before you, both knowingly and unknowingly. I pray that you would cause me to be aware of any sin that is in my life.
Think about this for a moment.
I confess to you my sin of...(confession of specific sins that come to mind goes here).
I pray God that you would create in me a pure heart and renew in me a right and steadfast spirit that is pleasing to you. (Psalm 51:10)
I thank you that because of my faith in Jesus and all that He has accomplished you are faithful to forgive those sins. Help me to grow in a spirit of forgiveness and love towards others, using your forgiveness and love towards me, as my example.
I pray Lord that where my weaknesses are, that I would turn to you for strength.
When temptation comes my way, help me Lord to turn away from it, guided and strengthened by the Holy Spirit, making decisions that are pleasing to You. Help me to remain guarded, with the full body armor of God that you have made available to me.
Help me to think about things that are: Pure and praiseworthy, lovely and admirable, noble, true, excellent, encouraging and right.
And to block out thoughts of pride and prejudice, laziness and lust, anger, animosity, negativity, temptation, envy and rage.
Lord, because of all you have done for me, as an act of worship, I present to you my body, as a living sacrifice for this day. Use me however you want, and bless me with discernment, so that Your will becomes my will. Help me Lord to be changed from the inside out and to choose your ways over the worlds ways. Help me each new day to find the strength you have given me to make these changes.
Father, I lift up to you my family and friends that do not know you, and I pray that you will draw them closer to you each day, putting people in their paths to help guide them toward you. I pray for their salvation and well being.
I also lift up to you my family and friends that already know you and the needs they have. Help me to use the resources you have blessed me with to help them, in a way that is pleasing to you and brings you honor and glory.
I also lift up to you….. take a moment to think about this.
I pray that you would help me to be a good steward of my time, talent and tithe. To give back to the kingdom in ways that you have enabled me to. Help me to know where, when and how to best serve you with the resources you have blessed me with. I lift up to you any and all areas of ministry that I am involved with praying now for your guidance, protection and blessing. May Your vision for these things become my vision. Not more than that and not less than that.
Lord I also lift up to you….ministries and churches and others including any personal ministry you may have.
Help me to have an ever growing spirit of thanksgiving and praise towards you. Help me to notice and be thankful for your provision in my life and the lives of others, and to learn to bless your name. Jesus, I lift up your name above all other names. I thank you for what you have already done and for what you will do in the future. Help me to grow in a spirit of contentment, knowing that you will provide all my true needs.
I ask these things now to Him who is able to keep me from stumbling, and to make me stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God my Savior, through Jesus Christ my Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever.
