The Talmud teaches the following concerning the resurrection.

"But The Following Have No Portion Therein: He Who Maintains That Resurrection Is Not A Biblical Doctrine,"
Talmud-Mas.Sanhedrin 90a (1)

Comments:

Note: This is in reference to the world to come. In other words, Jewish sages thought believing in a resurrection of the dead was so important to the Jewish religion that without it one could not have a place in the world to come.
